Just in time for International Women's Day on March 8, the visibility of women in a professional context is a buzzword in social media and panel talks. But what is the reality? Female leaders are not uncommon at VON HELDEN UND GESTALTEN. They shape a large part of our creative power, our structures and processes and: Our management. And not just on International Women's Day. But with a fundamental self-image. We have a balanced 50:50 ratio and, in addition to Verena Mayer, Founder & Managing Director, three other women in the management team. A female energy that is tangible, powerful and valuable for our success.

"Where women are already working successfully, more women will follow. Because women attract women. But this always requires courageous women to make a start."

But let's ask the question again: What is the lived reality - beyond HEROES AND SHAPES?

This is precisely the question that the W&V is currently addressing in order to find out how female leadership is practiced in the marketing industry. Because one thing can definitely be spoiled: There is still a lot to do. That's why 16 women in management positions share their assessments, learnings and tips on the topic of female leadership.

For Verena Mayer, the answer is clear: more courage for femininity!

"In a perfect world, female leadership would be completely normal. Can we achieve this? Or will the vision remain just that: a vision? One thing is certain: where women are already working successfully, more women will follow. Because women attract women. But this always requires courageous women to make a start. Women who take the first step where no woman has done so before.
I would therefore give my younger self the following tip: You don't have to be the better man to be successful as a woman. Find your strengths in your femininity. Because that's exactly what we need to maintain balance. And then take the first step. Because it gives us hope that the perfect world is not just a vision. It just needs a little more time until:

"In the future there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders."
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Meta."
